Digital Interactive Screen.

Tommy and Sue from the O.T. Dept paid a visit to the Dementia Friendly Community project in Helmsdale community centre to see the new digital interactive screen that they are using with their participants. This is an amazing piece of equipment with enormous potential for people in rural settings and New Craigs to link up live for different activities and groups through the internet. Thanks to Patrick from DFC for showing us the screen and looking forward to working together :-)

Hopefully it won't take too long for our screen to be delivered and we can start working with people and remote groups from all over NHS Highland area.

Well worth a visit to the Abriachan Community Forest. A lot of good work being done there and a brilliant place to spend a few hours.

 Hi I am Heather from the Vocational Support team based at Rowans and we will be in the Social Centre New Craigs on Thursday, 10 September at 2.00 pm with some publicity materials and to give a brief talk about what the Vocational Support team do.  This is open to anyone that wants to come along staff and patients and will be very informal.  Look foward to seeing some new and familiar faces next week.  Anyone that can't manage to come along if you get in touch and I can see you some other time.

Concertmania....

What a beautiful voice Kirsten Cairns has as she sang a variety of well known classical songs. Matthew Brown was brilliant on the piano and trumpet.  They are from "Music In Hospitals Scotland'' and were well appreciated by all participants at the concert in the Social Centre at New Craigs.

Young people of all ages enjoyed the first New Craigs mini fete, good fun, good food, guest musicians, prizes, laughter, inspiring thoughts, competition, togetherness, relaxation, and much more. When's the next one?

 

Preparations for the mini fete July 2015

Planning for the fete we tried to include lots of people in getting things ready. It was all hands on deck for making bunting, baking lots of goodies and gathering stuff for the tombola.
