Wi-Fi group donation....

Would just like to say a massive "THANK YOU" to David who has kindly donated a laptop to the New Craigs Wi-Fi group.  This donation will mean that we can provide more access to the internet for participants from New Craigs.

If anyone else has laptops etc, that are wireless enabled and not being used, we would be very pleased to accept them for the Wi-Fi group. Just get in touch with Tommy, O.T. Dept New Craigs 01463 704662 or thomas.birse@nhs.net . Thank you.

"OPEN DAY" at New Craigs.

We organized an open day at the hospital and invited some local agencies to participate and to provide information for people that could be helpful on discharge from hospital.  Thank you to the agencies who attended.

Digital Interactive Screen.

Tommy and Sue from the O.T. Dept paid a visit to the Dementia Friendly Community project in Helmsdale community centre to see the new digital interactive screen that they are using with their participants. This is an amazing piece of equipment with enormous potential for people in rural settings and New Craigs to link up live for different activities and groups through the internet. Thanks to Patrick from DFC for showing us the screen and looking forward to working together :-)

Hopefully it won't take too long for our screen to be delivered and we can start working with people and remote groups from all over NHS Highland area.

Well worth a visit to the Abriachan Community Forest. A lot of good work being done there and a brilliant place to spend a few hours.
